Macrame Wall Hanging
Foraged branches, basic knots, and a wall hanging you'll actually want on your wall.
November's Craft Night at Altitude is about tying knots, using what the forest gives you, and making something grounded. Learn a few foundational macrame techniques and weave them around a foraged branch to build a wall hanging that's one of a kind.
What you'll do
Learn basic macrame knots (easier than they look), choose a foraged branch as your base, and spend a couple of hours creating something that blends craft and the natural world.
What you'll take home
A finished macrame wall hanging, ready to hang in your entryway, over your bed, or in the window of whatever staff housing you're calling home right now.

Craft Nights at Altitude is Banff Pride's monthly gathering for anyone who wants to spend a couple of hours making, moving, or building something with their hands. One Tuesday a month, we take over a room, lay out the supplies, and open the door to the whole community.
Some nights are quiet and tactile. Others are loud and a little ridiculous. All of them are beginner-friendly, queer-centred, and built on the simple idea that craft and company go well together. No experience required. No pressure to be good. Just show up.
