Upstander Training
Allyship in Action
Real allyship means showing up, especially when it’s hard.
Join the YWCA Banff for a special Pride Week edition of Upstander Training. Allyship in Action, designed to give you the tools to support and protect members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in everyday life, work, and social settings.
Through real-world scenarios and practical tools, this free training helps participants:
Understand how queerphobia, harassment, and exclusion show up in Banff’s workplaces and public spaces
Recognize when consent is not present and identify inappropriate behaviour
Learn how to intervene safely and effectively using a proven Upstander framework
Build a workplace and community culture rooted in respect, safety, and accountability
Whether you’re a business leader, frontline worker, friend, or ally, this training is for you.
