Join the Bow Valley Pride Network and the Canadian 2SLGBTQI+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC) for an informative and practical online session tailored for tourism operators, business owners, and HR leaders in the Bow Valley.
This session introduces the nationally recognized Rainbow Registered Accreditation Program—a tourism-focused initiative that certifies businesses committed to 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion. Developed by the CGLCC in partnership with Tourism HR Canada, this program recognizes businesses that go beyond good intentions by meeting rigorous standards to create welcoming, safe, and inclusive environments for 2SLGBTQIA+ customers and employees.
Embracing 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusive policies is not only the right thing to do—it’s a strategic advantage. Inclusive businesses build trust, attract loyal customers, retain diverse talent, and stand out in a competitive tourism economy.
What to expect:
A local lens on inclusion: the Bow Valley Pride Network will share how it’s supporting regional businesses on their DEI journeys and building a foundation for long-term, community-driven impact
A national perspective: Merve Tosun (Mer-vay) from the CGLCC will present key research on 2SLGBTQIA+ tourism, the Rainbow Registered program, and how accreditation benefits your brand, culture, and bottom line
A business success story: Pam Traut, owner of BEATNIK Salon—a Rainbow Registered business and founding member of the Bow Valley Pride Network—will speak to the real-world impact of participation, and why investing in inclusive practices has strengthened her team, her customer relationships, and her business
Whether you’re just beginning your DEI journey or looking to take meaningful next steps, this session offers insights, tools, and connections to help you lead with pride.
Let’s build a Bow Valley—and a tourism industry—where everyone feels seen, respected, and safe!
