Seed planting: Herb garden starter
Herbs you'll actually cook with, started in a room full of your people.
May's Craft Night at Altitude is for anyone who's been meaning to grow something and hasn't quite gotten around to it. Plant a selection of culinary herbs from seed in a pot that's yours to take home, and pick up the basics for keeping them alive past July.
What you'll do
Plant herb seeds, mix your own starter soil, and learn practical tips for caring for young plants in a Bow Valley climate. No green thumb required. No judgement if you've killed every plant you've ever owned.
What you'll take home
A planted pot of herbs ready to grow on a sunny windowsill, and a summer of pasta, salads, and slow Sunday breakfasts that actually taste like something.

Craft Nights at Altitude is Banff Pride's monthly gathering for anyone who wants to spend a couple of hours making, moving, or building something with their hands. One Tuesday a month, we take over a room, lay out the supplies, and open the door to the whole community.
Some nights are quiet and tactile. Others are loud and a little ridiculous. All of them are beginner-friendly, queer-centred, and built on the simple idea that craft and company go well together. No experience required. No pressure to be good. Just show up.
